It is not that complicated...

We are a part of the T.E.A.M.

"We all sate in the same class rooms!"  But we did not all have the same experance!  This website will feature what you add!  It would be insane for any one person to think they could represent Fifty-Six classes of Alumni and do all the writing.  On the other hand, each of us has a story to tell.

Each Decade, or even Half Decade marked steady changes at North High.  The first decade, from 55-59 was New Beginings.  60-64 the world was a different place that the peace and order that the 50's students had.  Anyone at North High on Friday, November 22, 1963 will remember there lunch break.  KNHS Radio played on the speakers to the quad the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  Lynn Tait, Class of 64 remembers that day - it was her senior year.

Make love, Not War...

Soon it was all you could hear.  Peace, love, hippies and of course, who could forget "breakfast in bed for 400,000" at perhaps the biggest party the world has ever seen, Woodstock!  The final count was a half million and it happened August 15-17.  Even if you didn't go, Woodstock rocked your worlds.  If you were a Senior in 1969 like Jesse Tait, you likely talked a lot about Woodstock!

The early 70's again shifted the world and life at North High, Class of 1972 students, like David Tait, were talking about dodging the draft and moving to Canada to avoid the Vietnam war.  A year later, and Class of 1973 students like Wendell Tait had to deal with the betrayal of the government, Richard Nixon and the Watergate break-ins!

You may have noticed that all the people I sited have the same family name, indeed, they were all siblings from one family and a good example how life, from the very beginings of North High has changed over and over again.  One family and yet four major events for Saxons to consider.

I am sure we can add more for each half decade of the hisfory of North High, and that is where you come in.  It is your memories, your living history that you can record on the class pages here that will make a difference.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU! Only you hve your memories and only you can tell your story, so don't be bashful or ashamed, tell the stories you know best because you lived them and together we can write the North High Alumni History!
